35 Scriptures That Breathe Hope Back Into Your Marriage
Marriage starts off with a bang! So in love with one another, slow to anger, patient, you easily and lovingly look past flaws and imperfections as the love the two of you share is unbreakable. Then, after the 15 millionth time you picked up his dirty underwear or washed the sink from his chin hairs, you’ve decided it’s time to say something. You don’t deserve this right? You’re not his mother!!! You’re entitled to start nagging if he is going to act like a child. Satan begins to whisper these lies and insults about your spouse and marriage, and he makes them so believable that you have now forgotten who your husband is. Who is this stranger next to you? You barely recognize him.
I don’t know anyone that claims marriage is easy and if there is someone out there that is telling this lie, they are either not in a traditional marriage or that’s just it; they are lying. Marriage is hard work. You don’t get to sit back and go along for the ride. It’s intentional living and loving your spouse. But when the going gets tough, or even before the turbulence begins, allow these 35 scriptures to breathe life and hope into your marriage. Don’t fight the battle in the flesh, but on your knees. When Satan wages war against your marriage be prepared with your love triangle, God at the center of your relationship and you and your spouse in each corner.
